The RD 318 trades pouch width for process depth — its 9 stations are the most in the RD 300 series, giving the most room for multi-step recipes (fill, gas flush, secondary seal, inspection), but that comes at the cost of a narrower 100–180 mm pouch window than the RD 314 or RD 316. It's built for demanding, process-heavy runs on smaller pouches rather than raw pouch size, with the same patented dual gripper system holding 80–100 BPM. Compatible with all kinds of chargers and meters.
