Case Packers

Four ways to pack a case
RADPAK and SGE Robotica cover the four main ways to load a shipping case.
Wrap-around
Up to 25 a minute. Folds a flat blank around the product group and glues it shut for a tight case: RKZ-18NG (25 a minute), RKZ-22 (18, also packs open trays) and RKZ-27 (cases up to 600 mm wide).
Top-load
Up to 10 a minute. Loads the product group into an erected four-flap case from above: RGZ-50 and RGZ-100.
Side-load
Up to 6 a minute. Pushes the group in horizontally for tight packing, in cases up to 600 mm long: RGH-100.
Robotic
20 to 120+ a minute. SGE Robotica's vision-guided robots with quick-change grippers pack bottles, jars, cans, pouches, flow-wraps and trays, with format changes in under five minutes.
Case erectors and tray formers
Packing by hand or with a robot into pre-formed cases still needs something to form them.
- RKF-15T: erects regular slotted containers (RSC) and seals them with tape
- RKF-25G: forms four-flap cases and seals the bottom with hot melt
- RT-01: forms trays from flat blanks at up to 40 a minute
- RGT-60: packs sachets into display trays at up to 10 a minute
Wrap-around or regular slotted case?
The right choice depends on your product, pallet pattern and what your customers expect to receive.
Regular slotted case (RSC)
Most common. Easy to source, easy to erect on its own and easy to pack by hand if the line is down.
Wrap-around case
Tightest fit. Formed around the product, giving a tight, square case that stacks well and can use less board.
