Stick packs are slim, tubular packages designed for single-serve portions. They are perfect for on-the-go consumption and offer precise dosing for powders, granules, and liquid products. Their compact form factor makes them easy to carry and dispense.
Why stick packs
A stick pack is a narrow single-serve tube of film, sealed along its length and at both ends. It uses less film per dose than a flat sachet, tears open and pours cleanly, and packs tightly into a carton, which is why it is the standard format for instant coffee, drink mixes, sugar, powdered supplements, honey, and gels.
Lanes, speed, and dose
PSG SOMA stick pack machines form and fill several sticks at once. Most models run 2 to 12 lanes at 25 to 70 sticks a minute per lane; the high-capacity SM-730L runs 4 to 16 lanes at up to 80 a minute per lane and fills up to 150 ml. Sticks run from 15 to 40 mm wide (50 mm on the SM-730L) and 50 to 200 mm long (250 mm on the SM-730L).
Powder, liquid, or both
The SM-700P doses granules and powders from 1 to 50 g; the SM-700L, SM-702L, SM-703L, and SM-730L fill liquids; and the SM-702PL and SM-704PL run powder and liquid products on one machine, so a brand or contract packer with mixed SKUs doesn't need two lines. The SM-702L and SM-703L are complete line systems that feed, fill, seal, count, and carton the finished sticks.
Testing a stick pack first
