Vial Packaging
Thermoform-fill-seal machines that form, fill and seal single-dose plastic vials and unit-dose packs, from lab fill-seal units to 25,200 vials an hour.
Single-dose plastic vials and unit-dose packs for supplements, cosmetics, veterinary, and pharmaceutical products.
Single-dose vials are small plastic containers that each hold one measured dose of a liquid, gel, cream, or powder. Thermoform-fill-seal machines form them from a roll of film, fill and seal them in one pass, and leave them in strips that are torn apart one dose at a time — ideal for supplements, nasal drops, cosmetics, veterinary treatments, and pharmaceutical products where hygiene and accurate dosing matter.
How thermoform-fill-seal works
A thermoform-fill-seal (TFS) machine heats a web of plastic film, forms it into a strip of vial or unit-dose cavities, fills each cavity, then seals a second web over the top and cuts the strip to length. Because the containers are formed on the machine from roll stock, there are no preformed containers to buy, store, and feed.
From lab batches to industrial output
Valmatic's range scales with volume. The semi-automatic Mi.Ri. fills and seals preformed vials for laboratories and limited batches, and the Uni-Dose Series fills 2 to 15 ml pre-formed containers from reels for small companies.
Automatic TFS machines start with the compact Minivaldose (35 strokes a minute, 0.2 to 125 ml) and the VAL56 (40 strokes a minute, with an in-line printer). The V75 makes up to 12,000 vials an hour, the VAL175 up to 21,000 an hour for 24-hour, three-shift production, and the VT240 up to 25,200 ampoules an hour.
Doses, materials, and special products
Dose sizes run from 0.1 ml on the Thermo Unit-Dose Series to 330 ml on the VT240. The machines form single or coupled plastic films — PVC/PE and PET/PE, high-barrier laminates with EVOH, PVDC, or ACLAR, and films coupled with aluminum or paper, including PAPERDOSE® on the VAL175.
For suppositories, ovules, and lipsticks, the Thermo Unit-Dose Series adds temperature-regulated dosing, so heated products are filled at the right temperature.
Choosing a machine
Start with your dose size, your product (liquid, gel, cream, powder, or a heated product), the film it needs, and your yearly volume. Those four answers usually point to one or two models in Valmatic's range.
