SN's germ protection system combines the vertical FBV 80-120 and the horizontal M 40 into one line for double-pouched seed. Seed is filled into small germination protection pouches, 35–80 mm wide and 35–120 mm tall, which are then packed into outer pouches of 60–150 × 70–220 mm, at up to 85 pouches a minute. The combined line needs a floor area of about 4,250 × 4,000 mm, and it adds a pouch magazine to the standard equipment of the two single machines.
