The SN M 40 is the horizontal form, fill and seal machine in SN's Seed Series. It forms pouches 60–150 mm wide and 70–220 mm tall and fills them with seed at up to 120 pouches a minute, the highest rate in the series. Like the vertical FBV 80-120, it takes several seed dosing units, so changing to the next variety takes a few minutes and largely no tools. It shares the FBV's footprint of about 2,500 × 1,200 mm but stands lower, at about 2,000 mm tall against 2,500 mm.
